Assessment of the Warehouse Management Information System and Proposal for Changes

The thesis focuses on the assessment of the warehouse management system and the proposal of changes to improve the current situation. The company within which the issue is addressed is JEDNOTA, a consumer cooperative in Boskovice, which is part of the COOP group and operates a network of retail stores with consumer goods. In the thesis, the theoretical background is first elaborated, which serves to understand the issue. The following part is devoted to the analysis of the company including its surroundings. Here an assessment of the current information system for warehouse management is also made. The remaining part of the thesis is devoted to the proposal of possible changes and their description.

Reporting of the Selected Firm

The diploma thesis is focused on reporting, which provides a comprehensive system for transmitting information to users, who require this information. And in such a way that allows them to review quickly and easy required information. The reports of the selected company are described and then evaluated on the basis of theoretical requirements for reporting. Subsequently, the advices and recommendations are defined on how to adjust the selected reports to meet users requirements.

Strategická analýza podniku

Main theme of this work was to do the strategic analysis of the enterprise Hotel Plzeň with application of analysis and methods, that should show, which strong and weak points has this company and identify her opportunities and threats. To specify it, was the base for the formulation of a strategy, proposals and recommendations for next development. After executed analysis came out, that the enterprise has a lot of strengths, on which it can lean in future and strong it -- for example its staff, costumers and services ; and has many opportunities for using too. The end of work was dedicated to proposals for next development of business activities and how to improve the financial situation of this company.
